Robert Frost's poem "Nature's First Green Is Gold" has been one of my favorites since I was a child. My calligraphy on the original artwork is done using a classic Renaissance script, on genuine parchment.
Realistic paintings of a spring daffodil and European columbine balance the text and appear to be growing out of the page. The overall style is modeled on a classic calligraphy work, the Mira Calligraphiae Monumenta, which dates to 1580.
