Write your messages in secret code with this cipher wheel---a great gift for writers, kids, and history buffs. This cipher (or cypher) code is based on an actual one used by Mary, Queen of Scots, in the Renaissance.
Turn the inner wheel to change the code, and use the symbols in place of the letters in your message. A brief note on the back explains the historical significance of this cipher and how to use the wheel.
The artwork is my own, inspired by historical Renaissance cryptography books and designed to mimic copperplate engraving. It is printed on textured 65# card stock for durability, and the wheel is attached with a metal brad. The cipher wheel is shipped in a protective plastic sleeve with a sturdy backer board (5 x 7 inches) to keep it safe while in transit.
Pair it with one of my hand-bound journals, quills, or other writing supplies for a truly special gift.
